Opened the renovated access to Universidad de Chile subway station

Yesterday was opened to the public the new access from Paseo Ahumada street to Universidad de Chile subway station, after 21 months of hard works, in the capital centre. The recent start-up of Line 3 (which combines there with line 1), forced to increase from two to four escalator available to users. Metro reported that 3.7 million passengers used line 3 in their first month of operation.

Mankuk participated in the elaboration of the Environmental Impact Study of this access, which was admitted to evaluation in December 2015 and approved in March 2017 by the Exempt Resolution N° 110/2017. Also, Mankuk carried out the archaeological supervision of this station, as well as the other construction shafts of the Metro’s Line 3.
